Beams Of RainThe clouds shine down upon me as I show my face to them. The beams of rain caress each individual cell while my coverings are quenched. Musings on TimeTime is a dimension, a coordinate on a plane, like x, y, or z. We live in a four-dimensional universe of x, y, z, and t (time) coordinates. But time, as you may have noticed, is a bit different. We can move freely in x, y, and z, but, baring science fiction, we can only move in one direction in time. This is utterly bizarre, in four dimensions a point (or object) should be able to be located anywhere in the space, not forced to move in one direction. On xyz, point P(3,4,5) translated z=z-3 makes perfect sense [P’(3,4,2)], but a translation of t=t-3 is impossible.Musings on Time
